Help for Homeschool Student
December 4, 2020
Students, Success Stories
“I homeschool my child and he wanted to do improvement on the subject of math. He started at the Community Learning Center, tutoring on math, and he loves it. I am happy to see he is enjoying math thanks to his tutor, who is applying correct gradients and making this subject fun rather than a task. Thank you.” –P. (mother of a 2nd grade student)

Success Stories, Tutoring Services
“Today is my third day at CLC and the feeling of accomplishment is wonderful! I am a 56-year-old woman who has never understood math until I met Sioux (CLC tutor). In three days, I have caught on to division, my worst fear of all. I will continue to come to see Sioux and continue my learning here. This is just the beginning of my journey!” –J.K. (adult college-bound student)

Thanksgiving Food Drive a success!
November 6, 2020
Students, Volunteering in the Community
CLC partnered with The Way to Happiness Center to help migrant workers from Plant City, FL. The migrant families work long hours out in the field picking the fruit and vegetables that many of us enjoy eating.
We worked with Pastor Brown of Feed Our Children Ministries, a non-profit organization that helps feed disadvantaged families. Pastor Brown is an all-around great guy. Every year he helps countless people in need with food donations and this year he asked for our help.
CLC students and families generously donated several boxes filled to the brim with non-perishable food items that Pastor Brown picked up on Friday. We couldn’t be more proud of our students for the help they gave for the Thanksgiving holiday!
