“Hi, my name is K. and I’m a mother of four children. T. is my first born. Since he started in the Community Learning Center program I’ve seen a lot of improvements in my son. When he says a sentence, he learns if it is correct. If it’s not correct, he will fix it. He learned to sound a word out and if he doesn’t know, he will ask for help.

“He talks with a better vocabulary and is a very, very, very good reader and speller.

“To be a part of this program is a blessing and treasure because it shows me that there are people in this world that care about my son’s future and education, which I love very much.

“T. is the oldest and has a little brother and two little sisters who look up to him dearly. His dad and I do as well. We teach our kids to be better in life than what Mommy and Daddy did, which I truly believe he will do.

“He says he enjoys school, which I am very proud of. I always tell him that he can be anything and do anything he wants to do as long as he puts his mind to it. He says he wants to be a police officer. Whatever he chooses to be is fine with Mom and Dad. We love all of our kids and since T. is the leader we know off the top of our heads that we have winners, not losers.

“I love all the help you ladies have given my son, more than you will know. You will forever be appreciated and never forgotten.
