Pinellas County Animal Services is coming to Summer Camp!

We will be having a special event in Summer Camp on Tuesday, July 22nd at 10:00 am.

Pinellas County Animal Services is coming to educate our children on caring for a puppy and to raise awareness on the importance of caring for your pets.

They kindly offered to bring some of their puppies to interact with the kids.

The school would love to show our appreciation to their staff and teach kids the importance of giving back to our community, so we are asking anyone interested to bring a donation for the shelter.

We are currently collecting donations in Reception – please feel free to drop off anytime up to Tuesday!

This is what the shelter currently needs:

*Unopened cans or bagged cat/kitten & dog/puppy food

*New pet toys

*Slip training leashes

*Collars

*Pet beds

*Crates of various sizes

*Cat condos

*Bleach

*Towels

Mystery Week at Summer Camp!

We’ve had a great summer and Mystery Week was the perfect way to end it!  This week was filled with activities galore!  The CLC Campers were kept in mystery until they showed up at camp each day, ready for any adventure!

They went bowling, to the park, swimming, miniature golfing, had water balloon fights and spent the day at Glaser Children’s Museum in Tampa.

We hope you had as much fun this summer as we did! Have a great school year!

All the Best,

Community Learning Center Staff

Water Play Week!

Mother Nature might have taken Water Play a bit too literally this week!  Even so, the CLC Campers enjoyed going to the beach, the pool and Eagle Lake Park where they got to see turtles and all sorts of critters that live near and in lakes!

Bowling turned out to be a big hit when storms in the area canceled an extra day at the pool!  (We always keep it safe and fun!)

Next week is Mystery Week!  Parents:  Be sure and check your envelopes so that you get the clues to a week filled with fun and surprises!  But keep it a secret!
